The Liberty Fire Department is offering American Heart Association's Heartsaver CPR course for Liberty residents or business owners. The course, which is a single, 2.5 hour class, will be offered on the third Friday of each month at 6 p.m., beginning March 20. There are 10 spots available in each class with a minimum of 5 students for the class to be held. If there are not enough people interested in a class, the class will be cancelled and the student(s) who have previously registered will be automatically enrolled in the following month’s class. Deadline for registration is the 10th of the month at 5:00 p.m.
All classes will be held at Fire Station #1, 200 W Mississippi Street. The cost is $25 per person, which includes the cost of the textbook, certification card and administrative fees. The certification lasts for two years. The class will be taught by Liberty Fire Department firefighter/paramedics who are American Heart Association instructors.
