Taste of Liberty Art Show and Auction
The Liberty Arts Commission partnered this year with HDLI at the Taste of Liberty event June 13. The Arts Commission sponsored both an art show held inside the Corbin Theatre and a live art auction under the main tent.  Area artists Judi Heaton, Kristi Jurgensen, Eileen McCoy, Rachel Mindrup, Debbie Payne and Zen Walker displayed and sold their works, which ranged from intricately created jewelry to pottery to large oil and acrylic paintings.  Students from the Liberty High School art classes had a display of their latest works as well.

Auctioneer Ricky Holtman presided over a lively and at times heated auction of art pieces.  Works were offered from each of the individual exhibiting artists plus pieces from local artists Cindy Buehler, Shawn Garland, Chery Holtman, Rick Holtman, Shane Immelt, David Johnson, Carol Kariotis and Steve Karol.  Approximately $1500 was raised through the auction. It will benefit both HDLI and In As Much Ministries.
