Bingo Caller
Description: Call Bingo on Mondays and Fridays or serve as an alternate caller.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Loud speaking voice.

Birthday Card Writer
Description: Volunteers will send card to each member during their birthday month. Cards will be provided by center. Volunteers will sign the card and address envelope.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per month

Skills Required: Neat handwriting.

Birthday Party Planner
Description: Help decorate the room for the celebration. Duties included setting the birthday table, blowing up balloons, making special gifts for birthday people, (provided by staff).
Time Commitment: 3rd Friday of every month - 8:00 a.m.
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Creativity, ability to stand and work for long period of time.

Class Instructor
Description: Instruct or lead classes of expertise or knowledge.
Time Commitment: Varies based on class

Skills Required: Ability to lead/teach a group independently.

Greeters
Description: Daily volunteers are needed to perform a variety of duties including greeting lunch diners, welcoming all participants entering the Silver Center, taking future reservations, distributing informational materials, and answering telephone.
Time Commitment: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Monday-Friday
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Outgoing personality. General knowledge of Silver Center. Training available.
Background Check Required
Newsletter Contributor
Description: Volunteers are needed to submit/write articles for quarterly newsletter. Any forms of creative writing, including poetry, essays and short stories are welcome; as well as informative articles of your choice. Newsletter Editor reserves the right to refuse based on appropriateness and space in newsletter.
Time Commitment: Varies
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Basic creative writing skills preferred but not required. Ability to use microsoft word. Ability to email communication.
Background Check Required
Photographer
Description: Volunteer will take pictures of special events. Digital preferred, but not required. Staff will pay for any developing costs.
Time Commitment: Varies
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Silver Center will provide camera. Basic knowledge of a point and shoot digital camera.
Background Check Required
Public Ambassador
Description: Volunteer will help to distribute information about the senior center through out community. Other opportunities include representing the senior center at civic and leadership groups.
Time Commitment: Varies
Minimum Age Requirement: 16
Skills Required: Must have own transportation. Ability to do some public speaking.
