Event Format:  4 Game Guarantee with a single elimination finish.

 

Age Cutoff Date:  Must be 18 years of age.

 

Entry Deadline:  Wednesday, August 12, 2009 @ 5:00pm Central Time

 

                Event Awards: Awards for 1st and 2nd place

                                           

 

Championship Berths:  Mens C Northern Nationals

                                                   

Equipment Required: Must provide your own softballs.

                                                ASA stamped, red-stitched, .44 core 375 compression

Refund for Withdrawal Prior to Tournament

 

 Teams will be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee in the event they cancel at least 30 days prior to the first day of the tournament.  If a team does not give a 30-day notice in writing, they will forfeit the entire entry fee.

 

Refund Schedule Due to Weather

 

Full Refund if no games are played due to weather.

 

Half Refund if 1 game is started and/or played.

 

No Refund once second game begins.

Homerun Rule:  Men’s C = 3,  Men’s D = 1,  Coed = 1

 

Batter will enter the box with a count of one ball and one strike.  Batter will be allowed a courtesy foul.

 

Men’s teams must start and finish with a minimum of 9 players.  The open batting position will not be declared an out unless as a result of an ejection.

 

Run spreads of 15 after three innings and 10 runs after five innings

 

One hour time limit on all pool play games.

 

Rosters must be turned in at the start of your first game.

 

A player may not play on two men’s teams.  A player may play on a men’s and coed.

 

Coed teams must start and finish with a minimum of 8 players.  Must have even numbers at all times. (4 & 4) or (5 & 5) or (6 & 6).  If the male walks, he will be awarded 2nd base, and the female will be required to bat, except when there are 2 out and then she will have the option to walk or bat.

PLEASE BE WARNED – Our tournament has a “zero tolerance” for any physical confrontations by players, coaches, fans or anyone else.  Upon first violation violating party shall be removed from the facility for the remainder of the tournament.  Teams are responsible for making sure involved parties leave the complex.  If offending individuals do not leave, the responsible team will be removed from the remainder of the tournament with no refund given.
