Public Relations
The City of Liberty uses a variety of outreach tools as a part of its comprehensive communication program with citizens and visitors. These include:

Twitter
Keep up to date on City news and events through Twitter. From info on water main breaks to the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Twitter brings City news straight to your smart phone or computer. If you have a Twitter account, just start following us at twitter.com/LibertyMissouri.

Liberty News Flash Email News Service
Persons with Internet access may subscribe to a free electronic news service. This service also includes the option to subscribe to a press release and/or job posting service. Interested?  Head to News Flashes, enter your email address and then select the following News Flashes you'd like to receive.  Choose from:

  • Arts News Flash - produced by the Liberty Arts Commission, the arts advocacy agency for the City of Liberty.
  • Historic Liberty Living - information from the Historic Preservation Office and the Historic District Review Commission
  • Jobs - job announcements with links to online job descriptions, applications, etc
  • Liberty Community Christmas Tree - for those interested in volunteering for or applying for assistance through this annual holiday program.
  • News Flash – General information on City events, services and activities.
  • Press Releases - full length press releases
  • Rec News Flash - information on Parks and Recreation Department classes, leagues, tournaments, etc
  • Senior News Flash– information on activities and events offered through the City’s senior services division.
  • Volunteers - information on volunteer opportunities with the City of Liberty

Liberty Cable Channel 2
The City of Liberty offers Cable Channel 2 as an informational service for the citizens of Liberty. Events and activities listed on the channel are those sponsored by the City or its community partners. City Council meetings are broadcast live on Ch. 2 at 7 p.m. on Mondays and rebroadcast at 10 a.m., 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Wednesday-Sunday.

Persons who subscribe to Time Warner cable service and reside within the city limits of Liberty receive Liberty Cable Channel 2 as a part of their service package.

LibertyLive!
City Council regular sessions also are available online through LibertyLive.

Through LibertyLive Website visitor can watch meetings live on Monday nights, view entire archived meetings, search keywords for topics of interest or follow links in the online agendas on the City website to navigate directly to a particular item.

Press Releases
Press releases generated by the City of Liberty are available for review by visiting the website’s archive center or subscribing to the News Flash Press Release subscription service.
